I was nominated for a Quill Award in the “Debut Author of the Year” category. It was a flashy event, held in New York City and I wasn’t the only one to feel out of place on the red carpet as seen on this recent Today show feature.

I always wondered how the Quill Awards went. It’s awesome to see the other side of the flashy/swanky award shows. Taking away a friend from the awards show is a lot better than the actual award.. Awards are just another dust collecter to add to your shelf.
Thanks for sharing this podcast.. I’m never up early enough to watch the Today Show.

Maybe you should’ve whipped out some of Cathy’s old jeans, perhaps they would’ve fit better than the tuxedo pants?
Wonderful piece, Mike. Thanks for sharing.
