For twenty-seven years I have been a reporter for Today on NBC, a job I wouldn’t have if it weren’t for an incredible series of events that were set in motion in 1969.

Such an amazing story. And to think, if I can ever do something worthwhile I can look back at this story as the starting point for me as well. Because without your life-changing story, you wouldn’t be the influence you are to me now.
This was my favorite story in the book among so many. And to think if you didn’t land the job with NBC, and move to Chicago, I would never have my wonderful family since you guys introduced me to Susan.
We have to find that stewardess(as they were called back in the day).
I love this story. It was one of my favorite parts of the book… And the footage of you and Mrs. Leonard and the kids is really beautiful. I can only hope to share the same kind of memories with my husband someday.
This was one of the several amazing stories you told me out on my patio. You may have been a late bloomer but you are certainly are not without a gift. Your gift of storytelling is a priceless….and only special people can give priceless gifts.
