Jack Logan Part Two

Posted by Mike on March 31, 2006

Here’s the follow-up to the first Jack Logan story. This aired on Today in January of 1996. If anybody knows what Logan is up to these days, let me know. I liked him a lot.

Jack Logan

Posted by Mike on March 25, 2006

This Today show story on singer Jack Logan aired in 1995. I did a follow-up a year later and will post that story in a few days. I’m assuming that Mr. Logan is still writing great songs…and still laughing. At least I hope so.

Another St. Patrick’s Day tribute - this time to a hardy group of souls who deserve some recognition. Irish Surfers.

St. Patrick

Posted by Mike on March 12, 2006

To honor the Irish on St. Patrick’s Day here is a story from Dublin that aired on the Today show back in 1989. Rock bands from Ireland were in vogue in the late 1980’s so I focused on a group that had potential but hadn’t yet made it. They were good musicians and good guys but the band went nowhere. Why?

My Ex-Exterminator

Posted by Mike on March 2, 2006

I feel empty. Kevin was our exterminator and now he’s gone. Moved to Arizona to fight bigger, badder creatures - black widows, scorpions, snakes, shady land speculators. I liked Kevin because he shared my anger when certain members of the animal/insect kingdom broke the treaty and invaded our territory. Squirrels in the attic. Mice in the basement. Raccoons in the chimney. I don’t crawl into their lousy nests, knotholes or garbage piles. Stay out of my damn house. A few years ago I produced a Today show story that featured Kevin doing what Kevin does best.
